Getting cute but serious
Interaction Design

The CatnClever app seamlessly blends user-friendly interactive features with child-friendly design aesthetics. Aligned with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program, it caters to educational curricula in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, ensuring a tailored learning experience for young learners.

The Task & Requirements
The founder of the CatnClever app contracted Lady XY (Head of Marketing) to promote their product across various social channels. Lady XY was thoroughly convinced by both the founders and the app itself, especially since she had recently become a mother and recognized the app's potential. However, one thing she wasn't convinced of was the old CatnClever website.

Therefore, she persuaded the founders to bring me on board. After having a look at the old page I set myself some clear goals: to make the page compelling, child-friendly, and suitable for advertising, but also convincing for the investors.
My Contribution
For this project, I undertook my usual tasks: analyzing the current page, proposing structural and content improvements, crafting several design suggestions, and ultimately creating all pages in the final design.

However, my contribution didn't end with these steps. My most anticipated challenge was yet to come: implementing all the components I designed in Webflow.

Live page
To communicate Lady XY' and my vision clearly to the customer, I began creating wireframes to outline our idea and presented my vision to the client. The next step involved developing three design routes, all based on the existing brand guidelines.
The winning design was both simple and playful. After finalizing the design, my objective was to create a comprehensive set of components, empowering the CatnClever team to expand their page autonomously. Another minor challenge was that I had to produce these components in Webflow.
Did I know how to do it? -> No.
Did I successfully create a library of elements in Webflow and teach the responsible person from CnC? –> Yes, I did.
I had an immense learning curve and enjoyed every moment of it.
Based on the visual elements and language utilized on the page, I compiled an extensive library of ads in various social media formats for Lady XY, so she could start with her advertisement. Here is just a small extract of the visuals we used.
Look Back & Learnings
My greatest takeaway from this project was learning to use Webflow. I had always been curious about this visual website builder, but I hadn't found a compelling reason to try it out until then. Two years later, the website is still live, and I'm pleased to see that the owners have continued to evolve and update it. Knowing that I provided them with a solid foundation to expand their website and be independent brings me joy.
